can we generate reports in RQM without defining TER's

We have Test Cases in RQM.We didnot define any Test Execution Records for TC's but we just ran or executed the test cases. Can we generate the reports on execution trend? If yes , what all kinds of reports we can generate?

When you run a test case a Test Execution Record (TER) will be created for you. When you hit run the "Test Case Run" dialog, shows you that it will create a new TER for you and allows you to specify the planning and environment information for the TER that it will create. You likely didn't set the planning information and just hit run. In which case the TER still gets created, but with no planning information.

You can still run any report that doesn't require a Test Plan. Such as TER status by owner, score card and several others. However the execution trend report does require the Test Plan, so you wouldn't be able to run that one.

Unfortunately once a TER is executed there is no way to change it's Test Plan, nor is there a way to change the Test Plan of any of it's results.

Hi

I am executing a TER and i closed the TER after passing 2 Test Steps. I stopped the execution and closed the TER.
Again when I see the TER , I see its incompleted and I am unable to Resume Execution.Again I have to run the TER and start executing all the steps from first.

Why is it happening so

When you hit the stop button, you are actually stopping the entire run. That's why it's listed as incomplete. Instead of using the stop button simply close the Script Execution Page using the little X icon for that tab. Now when you view the TER it will continue to say that it is "in progress". If you click the in progress icon you will go to the "previous result" page showing all previous results of that TER. From there you can click the result that's still in progress and resume where you left off.

HI

I have created Requirements in Requirements Tab and imported Test Cases from Excel to RQM.

How can I link my Test cases and Requirements in RQM.

Can I link a set of Test Cases to a single requirement in one step.
I see for every Test Case requirement link but dont know how to link set of test cases to a requirement.

Can you tell me the process to link 5 Test Cases to a Requirement in RQM

Thanks
