Differences between links
Hello,
can someone explains me the difference between "Add Related Test Case" and "Add Tested By Test Case" links? (with example, if possible). |

Hi, Pietro
If you have a defect work item which is tested by a specific test case, you can add "tested by test case" link to that specific test case. You may have multiple defects which are tested by different test cases and they(defects) would address different issues on the same application, you can add " related test case" for those different defects which could have close relation or dependency to current defect. This is at least one use case I can think about. Thanks Pietro Bottino selected this answer as the correct answer

Hello, Is it automatic link between CCM and RQM when we perform on one side, or we need to manually link them. In particular situation as below: - In RQM, if user marks one TCER (named TCER-1) as Failed with a defect-A and complete this action. So in CCM, defect-A Links tab will update TCER name as Tested By Test Case?
- In CCM, select defect-B, in Links tab, if user selects Add Tested By Test Case option and browse to new TC, called TCER-2. So in RQM, TCER-2 will update defect-B? If so, it is difficult to know that TCER-2 will be marked as Failed or Blocked or other state?
Same question when remove Links to TCER from CCM, or remove defect link from RQM Is it same for Add Related Test Case between CCM and RQM? |
