Highlighting fields in editor presentation
Hi All,
Am using RTC v3.0 for building a process flow. As part of this. I would need to highlight (color coding/ making bold/ marking with *) couple of fields based on the rules which get invoked on saving a work item. Is there anyway to achieve it? Another query I had was, is there any way to make a field to appear as read only in other tabs for viewing purpose; For eg, if I have a custom field called 'abc' created and added to tab 'A' on the editor presentation, can I have the same field to be viewed (not for editing purpose, only to see the value) on a different tab, 'B'? Any pointer in this direction would be really appreciated. Many thanks. Thanks, Mohan. |

Just for interest's sake, why would you want to make a given field
editable in some tabs, but not editable in other tabs? I would think that would be very frustrating for a user who wants to modify that field .... they would have to somehow guess that it might be editable in some other tab, and then try to guess what tab to open. I completely agree with you Geoff; Was trying to explore the alternatives for the first requirement I had.

There is a work item to highlight a field as being required based on
dynamic computations from the current state: 133631. Cheers, Geoff On 2/3/2011 12:38 AM, mmksri76 wrote: I completely agree with you Geoff; Was trying to explore the |
