RTc - Oracle configuration - Backup Issue

Hello,

I am using RTC with Oracle DB configuration.
I would like to perform daily backups.

My DBA suggested to perform live backup using RMAN.
Is it possible to perform online backup without shutting down RTC server?
Are there any consistance problems that will arise if I will perform online backup for the DB, and at the same time backup the jazz directory at the server (without shut down)?

Can you send link to an "online backup procedure" document?
