Work item predecessors

The scenario is: two diferent iterations, each with one workitem, both linked by predecessor dependency.
Gantt Chart (WEB UI) shows that "Work item predecessors that are planned for different iterations are ignored in this work item schedule" and no variance schedule is made!

Is there any Process Configuration that could be made to corret this issue?

Tried to create a Release Plan, not an Iteration Plan?
