Queries: complex SQL-like queries

Susan Hanson (1.6k2201194) | asked Dec 13 '10, 3:47 p.m.
We are looking at moving things into RTC 3.0, and we have a large number of automated "reports" that use SQL-like queries (very complex, multiple tables/view with inner and outer joins, etc), as well as reports which aggregate the outcome of 3 or 4 of these complex queries.

I've been going through some tutorials, but creating a query using the RTC UI seems difficult when the queries are very complex.

Does RTC provide a way to do a query where we can "play" with the lower-level SQL?

The query builder for work items doesn't give you that level of SQL-like query building, but you can get it in the BIRT report builder. It uses a data warehouse schema which is available for full SQL query.
