ETL Updates for product updates

Right, I was just using those as examples. Since the other products don't ship updates on the same releases/timeframes as Insight, how are mid-release (for Insight) updates handled? So to use a hypothetical example, what if a new Focal Point release came out in 2 months, but Insight didn't have another release planned for 6 months. Would the Insight team ship an ETL update at that same time, or would I be expected to wait until the next Insight release?
Hi Jackie,
We don't currently have a very consistent story with respect to how Insight supports new product releases. I can tell you that for any product that provides a REST interface for Insight to consume, updates delivered in a fix pack should not break the existing Insight ETL. For a new product release, the model we are moving to is to have the point product teams (RTC, RQM, FP, etc.) provide the ETL for their product so that our users (you) are not stuck waiting for a new Insight release to pull data from updated or new products.
