Storing large binary files in RTC Source Control

Brian Freeman (211) | asked Nov 11 '10, 9:55 a.m.
Hi,

We're looking to use RTC to version control large PhotoShop files and videos. We're thinking large files easily over 150MB.

How does RTC handle binary files? Will RTC allow you to deliver files this large? Will each change to a file add an additional copy of the file to the SCM?

Thanks!

We recently found that someone had accidentally checked in a 175 MB ZIP file (binary) into our RTC 2002 repository. RTC didn't flinch, and faithfully served that large file later when we loaded workspaces. The sudden increase in load times was of course noticeable.
