Connect SVN repo to RTC WorkItems in Eclipse client

Arnold Cruz (16414031) | asked Nov 05 '10, 9:07 a.m.
Hi,

We are trying to connect a SVN change set to a RTC workitem. I am following directions from InfoCenter of RTC. We are using RTC 2.0.0.2 iFix04. I have installed a SVN client(Subclips) and can connect to SVN and see my files. The problem is when I try to connect a work item to an SVN repo

The direction from InfoCenter is the following:

"To link a Subversion revision to a work item.
In the Eclipse Navigator view (or any Eclipse view that supports Team operations), right-click a Subversion project and click Properties.
On the Jazz Work Items page, select your Jazz repository from the list, and click OK. This adds Subversion bugtraq properties to the project, which support linkage with work items. This addition results in an outgoing change to the project (you might need to right-click the project and click Team > Update or Refresh to make the outgoing change visible in the IDE). "

But when I right click on project and select properties I don't see "Jazz Work Items Page" that is mentioned.

Also when I try to "Update links" in the Jazz SVN Connections. I get the following errror. But I don't understand since I have the client installed in my eclipse IDE and able to connect to my SVN repo

Any help or insight is much appreciated

Arnold,

The preference page in question is found on local projects that have been loaded from subversion. So you should first load a project from Subversion using Subclipse and then choose Properties from the context menu of the project.

The second error looks like it is coming from Subclipse but I'm not sure why it would occur. I would suggest loading a project and see if that helps

Hope this helps,
Michael

Thanks Michael,

You were correct. Once I loaded the SVN project to my workspace I was able to see the Jazz work item in the properties. But I am now getting a weird error. When I click on "Jazz Work Items" I get a

"Current display page contains invalid values"

After clickin ok .. I do see the "Link this project" to a Jazz work item. But when I click and press Ok. A error window pops up quickly and disappears so I have no idea what it's says. I have looked in the server jazz.log files and find nothing there.

Any ideas?

Michael,

I think I figure out my problem. I didn't have the right version of subclipse installed on my eclipse IDE. I am now having some other SVN issues but I don't think it is related to RTC client.

Thanks for your help!
