By disable the packages I'm assuming you meant the extension locations
you added?

You should be able to do that. However, you can't disable them in any
order. You have to disable them in an order that does not cause you to
end up in a situation where you have an inconsistent configuration (that
is where you have disabled features in one location which are depended
on be features in another). This is by no means the only order that
will work, but the following order would work (reports, svn, build, scm,
workitem, ua, foundation).

Based on the state you are in from your description, I think you should
be able to get back to where you were by bringing up the manage
configuration dailog and selecting the 'Show disabled features' toolbar
button at the top (so you can see the features you disabled under the
extension location). You will then need to select the disabled features
under the extension locations and re-enable them. I would recommend
visiting the extension locations in reverse order from what I listed
above as the disable order). If you receive any errors look at the
details as it may indicate a feature dependency which would require you
to re-enable features under a particular extension location in a
particular order.

On a related note, if you are using the RAD 7.5 R4 Open Beta and want to
install RTC 1.0 M5a you don't need to go through the steps from the tech
note. You can use the installation manager based install and use the
shell sharing capability to install into RAD. Note, that you won't want
to have the extension locations enabled from your previous version if
you do that.

back to older version. but it does not give me the option to enable
the disabled version. Can anybody give me some suggestions to enable
older RTC version?
