Moving from RRC to DOORS

Jules Van de Velde (3633) | asked Oct 21 '10, 10:46 a.m.
Hi,

I'm wondering how I would go about moving a RRC project from v2.0.0.2 to the new DOORS Requirements Professional (Beta 2), or if it is even possible?

What we have is a bunch of requirements, glossaries and diagrams that were created in RRC and we are now looking at moving to the new Jazz platform but it does not seem to have a upgrade path for RRC.

Does this mean that RRC is going to be discontinued, or are their plans to integrate RRC into v3.0?

I have been unable to find any documentation or posts referring to this subject, but if I missed them, please let me know :)

You can find an explanation of the temporary DOORS RP sub-project (somewhat buried) in this thread:
http://jazz.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=41872

And some information on the staging of the next release of RRC as part of Collaborative Lifecycle Management here (including the RRC visual editors):
http://jazz.net/blog/index.php/2010/10/10/clm-project-update-staging-the-clm-deliverables/

And to answer your initial question: we are working on the upgrade/migration code to migrate data from RRC v2 to the CLM requirements capability for our next beta milestone; we need to deliver at least some of the RRC visual editors at the same time so that you can work with these visual artifacts.
