It is possible to create a query that lists out the work items that were modified during a defined date range?

Basically, we have a funny burn down chart. On one particular day, the "Work Remaining" jumps up by 100 hours, but the "Work Planned" did not increase at all.

This tells me either the burndown chart has a bug or somebody went back and reduced the "Time Spent" for several tasks in our sprint.
