Integration - Websphere Business Modeler V7 and RTC V2

Martin Iturbide (111) | asked Oct 19 '10, 4:52 p.m.
Hi

I want to try if it is possible to upload business models made in WBM to Rational Team Concert Express-C.

I'm using

* Websphere Business Modeler (WBM) 7.0.0.301
* Rational Team Concert Express-C (RTC) 2.0.0.2 iFix4.

My first problem was updating the RTC Client on WBM. I used to get a error "CRJAZ1176I" saying that the version on WBM was less than the one used on RTC. I follow the instructions on how to update the RTC on a eclipse client.
https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/InstallRTC20IntoEclipse35

But now, I can not connect to the server. I put my user and password on the "New Connection to Repository". I get that my user and password and invalid and after two tries I'm getting a message CRJAZ0129I (Unexpected response from {0}. Expected a {1} response code, but got {2}. Please check your server configuration), which on the internet there is no much info about it.

My guess are:
1) I updated RTC client in a wrong way.
2) I'm missing some configuration on the RTC server (I'm very new at it)

Anybody was some similar experiences or can give me a pointer ?

Thanks in advance.

JAZZ DEVELOPER
Martin,

First off, I don't have WBM so I have not tried this and cannot guarantee it even can work, but I would just swap the order to make sure you are not chasing a red herring to start.

#2) I am assuming that you have a URL: https://server:port/jazz/web that you can connect to via a web client and login with the same username and password. Second if you try/start the stand alone RTC client you should be able to login to https://server:port/jazz with this same user/pass, that will validate that this is not a server problem so we can move on. There is nothing to enable per se for this to work, the server just needs to be setup and configured.

#1) In this case it is more about installing the plugins and if there were no errors during the install you should try a few things to verify that things appear to be working. Open the "Error Console" and see what kind of things are being thrown, usually plugin errors, Eclipse errors, and error message are stored here. Clear it out and try to login see what you get. Second try starting WBM with the "-clear" option to reload all the plugins and potentailly the "-console" to watch the osgi load process for errors.
