Problem with quotes in directory name

Ian Hodges (271013) | asked Sep 24 '10, 3:52 a.m.
Hi,

RTC V2.0.0.2. A Linux user created a a project with a directory which included quotes. e.g. MyProject/Test "hello". This works fine on Linux, but for a windows user the IDE and SCM clients cannot extract the project as it can not be written to disk leading to "internal errors" in the tools.

RTC should not allow characters to be used that are not valid on all target client platforms.

Thanks and regards,
Ian Hodges.

I disagree. There might be a Linux-only shop that would complain
bitterly if RTC didn't allow them to check in files with quotes in their
names.

The behavior really should be configurable. There is no way to have one
set of rules that would make everyone happy.

But it is a bug that RTC is failing with internal errors. It should
handle the situation gracefully.
