How to display defects when viewing plans?

When we view our plans to prioritize work, we don't see defects in our release and product backlogs. We can see defects in our current iteration backlog. How do we configure RTC so we can see defects in our release and product backlogs when viewing the plans such as "Ranked List" and "Work Breakdown".

Michael,

these work item types that are not marked as top level work items in the process configuration are referred to as execution items. They used to be filtered out of release plans and other top level plans.

In RTC 2.0.0.2 to see them you need to open the plan, configure the plan and check the advanced option "Always load all execution items".
