Deepak

tomcat-users.xml is used by Apache Tomcat. It has no role in a WAS deployment.

If you are using WAS in a production environment, you normally want to use LDAP for user management.

If you do not have an option to use LDAP, you can set up a WebSphere Application Server custom user registry by following the steps here: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/rqmhelp/v2r0/topic/com.ibm.rational.test.qm.install.doc/topics/t_instl_config_was_registry.html
