RTC 2002 with RAD 8.0

I've been trying to install RTC client on top of RAD 8.0 with no success. It works with RAD 7.5, but the installation manager complains that it can not install on RAD 8. I tried with RTC 2002 iFix 3. The installation manager error message is below. Thanks.


Installing Rational Team Concert - Client for Eclipse IDE 2.0.0.2 iFix 3 is not allowed in this package group; it is not compatible with IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software 8.0.0. It may be installed in a different package group.

I found an answer to my own question. There is a RAD 8.0 infocenter page here:

which describes what is needed. Basically you need to use the p2 install to add RTC using the Install New software option.
