Will RTC3.0 support ClearQuest bridge?
hello, all,
I checked all the download links for various RTC3.0 Betas. To my surprise, I couldn't find the ClearQuest bridge. Will RTC3.0 , or the upcoming Rational Workbench for CLM, support ClearQuest bridge? thank you! |

In RTC 3.0 the CQ Bridge component the shipped with with RTC 2.0 will be replaced by a true OSLC-CM style integration. This has more flexibility in that you can link a RTC project area to any number of CQ dbset/userdb combinations. One noticeable different will be that the CQ tab in RTC web will no longer be there. Instead, you can open separate CQ web instances in separate browser windows or tabs. In order to achieve this, you'll need to upgrade to a yet to be released CQ that plugs in nicely to RTC 3.0 (and even RTC 2.0.0.2). It has updated support for things like OAuth.

Yes, RTC-3.0 does support the ClearQuest Bridge, but in RTC-3.0, the
ClearQuest Bridge component has been moved from RTC to ClearQuest. So to use the ClearQuest Bridge with RTC-3.0, you will need to update your ClearQuest installation to the new release of ClearQuest that contains this component. Cheers, Geoff On 8/25/2010 4:38 AM, yetiscream wrote: hello, all, |

WRT the release date, we're not allowed to post that kind of info to a
public forum. What I can say is that it has been implemented and tested, and it has the same basic functionality as the RTC-2.0 CQ Bridge. If you need more info about planned release dates, please check with your sales reps, and they should be able to give you more info under non-disclosure.
