Running RTC with DB2 without DB2 admin permissions

Rob Logie (33825041) | asked Aug 15 '10, 7:44 p.m.
Hi
I realize that RTC requires DB2 admin permissions for installation to enable creation of tables etc.

However, is it possible to remove the admin permissions from the DB2 userID that RTC users after installation is complete and successfully continue to run RTC ?.

In the environment I work in we are not allowed to run the application user ID with DB2 admin privilages.

Thanks in advance

Hi Rob

You can run the RTC server (Jazz Team Server) as non-root. Just make sure that the non-admin user can access the jazz/server directory and sub-directories. They need write access.
