Problem defining new build using Build Forge

Paul Bodiam (2651) | asked Aug 05 '10, 4:56 p.m.
Hi

I'm new to RTC, so please be gentle with me :-)

I am trying to create a new build, using Build Forge 7.1.1.4
When fill in the Build Forge page with the server, username and password, and click on the "Get Projects" button, I am continually getting the error:

Build Forge password. The username and password combination provided is not valid. Please check the user name and password are correct and try again.

I have double checked that the username and password are correct - they are the same ones that I use to log in to the Build Forge console.

Each click on the "Get Projects" button generates a corresponding "User '<my username >' logged out" in the Build Forge message view.

Any suggestions how I can debug this one?

thanks
Paul

*Update*

Solution found in another thread:
The user defined for the RTC <-> Build Forge connection must be a locally authenticated user in Build Forge. I was using an LDAP authenticated user. I changed the connection user to a locally authenticated one and the problem is resolved.
