Project Area Security

David Amid (2131) | asked Mar 16 '08, 9:14 a.m.
Hi,
If I have multiple project areas, how can I configure the user access such as only allowed user can gain access to a specific project area.

From what I have read, once a user has a read access to your repository he\she can read all artifacts from all project areas.

Thanks,
David

Hi David

You are correct that there is no way to hide projects from other users.

As far as I know, if you want secure projects in the way you describe, you would need to run separate repositories.

Will this feature be added in future versions as it doesn't seem logical to allow users to access all project areas.

We will look into that problem as part of our 'enterprise' work.
