RTCSDK and RationalBuildforgeConnector

Thomas Dunnigan (13114126) | asked Jul 06 '10, 8:45 p.m.
Is the RTCSDK compatible with the RationalBuildforgeConnector. We are running into an issue when we try to modify a build property in the build definition the RationalBuildforgeConnector goes belly up in a warning state with no information in the log file being recorded.

If we run the build definition without attempting to modify the build definition it initiates the build.

Can you shed any light how we can solve this?

Thomas,

What version of Build Forge are you using? What are the versions of the plugin for the RTC client and the connector for the RTC server? Are you using a dedicated BF user ID in the build definitions (one not used on any other RTC instances or for use to configure Build Forge)? If we cannot figure it out based on answers to these questions, we can enable the following trace which typically indicates what the problem is:

- Edit server.startup.bat
- Add -Dcom.buildforge.rtc.plugin.debug=true to the JAVA_OPTS line.
- Restart the server.
- Recreate the problem.
- Look for exceptions in buildforge_service.log in the startup directory.

Regards,
Pete
