Does the refresh button on the web UI refresh custom attributes in a work item header?

I added some custom attributes to my work item's header presentation section and realized that they are not getting updated when hitting the little refresh button. They do get updated when performing a full browser refresh.

Sounds like a bug, perhaps the refresh only looks at the built-in attributes?
Please file a defect work item, so that we can reproduce...
