Running a birt report with a data source outside of RTC

I want to use the RTC dashboard and display data that resides in other databases outside of RTC. I used a working birt report, but I get the following error when running it:

Chart NewChart:
+ An exception occurred during processing. Please see the following message for details:
Cannot open the connection for the driver: org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc.
Cannot load JDBC Driver class: com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver.

I found the following plugin (.../jazz/server/update-site/plugins/org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc_2.3.2.r232_v20090212.jar) and unjarred it and added the db2 jdbc driver jar under the drivers directory, but it didn't work. I'm using RTC 2.0.0.2. Any suggestions?
