Anderson Silva (1163) | asked Apr 01 '10, 10:23 a.m.
Hi,

We are trying to use RRC Server 2.0.0.1 with Tomcat in a Windows 2003 Server, but we cant start Tomcat as a Windows Service and We only can use RRC Server starting manually.

If we start RRC server in a command prompt using "E:\Program Files\IBM\RRCS20\server\server.startup.bat" it works fine.

But if we start RRC server in a command prompt using "E:\Program Files\IBM\RRCS20\server\tomcat\bin\startup.bat" it doesnt work. Same problem using "E:\Program Files\IBM\RRCS20\server\tomcat\bin\tomcat.exe"

We are trying to install Tomcat as a Windows service using "E:\Program Files\IBM\RRCS20\server\tomcat\bin\tomcat5w.exe" utility.

Our RRC server is installed in "E:\Program Files\IBM\RRCS20"

By the way we dont have and I cant use WAS.

Not sure if you've been through this yet or not, but there is a technote that explains how to set up RRC to run as a Windows Service:

As long as RRC is starting up ok using the server.startup.bat, you shouldn't have any problems getting this working. Hope it helps,
