Deleting Queries and complex queries

Jessica Berliner (311) | asked May 09 '07, 6:58 p.m.
I have 2 questions on querying through the web on Jazz.net.

1. Is there a way to delete a query. I've created a query and would now
like to delete it. The only option I see is to edit it. Am I missing
something?

2. Is there a way to do complex queries. For example, a query that returns
all work items where priority is High or Severity is Critical?

Thanks,

Jessica

Hi Jessica

The functionality is available in the Rich UI, but hasn't been surfaced
in the Web UI yet. I have opened
https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Jazz%20Project#perspective=Work%20Items&action=viewWorkItem&id=22945
to track this issue.

2. Is there a way to do complex queries. For example, a query that returns
all work items where priority is High or Severity is Critical?

Currently, *all* the conditions have to match. However, selecting
multiple values for a condition means that any of these values can
match. So you could currently create a query for 'Severity is Critical
or Blocker AND Priority is High', but not for 'Severity is Critical or
Blocker OR Priority is High'.

I am currently working on an (RCP) editor that supports the creation of
more complex queries. This work will eventually be available in the
WebUI, too.

Regards,
Patrick

Is it possible to delete multiple queries in the Web UI? We've just upgraded to RTC V3.0 and finished one project. I'd like to clear up my queries (I have about 180) and I can only seem to delete them individually from the "My Queries" view.

Also when I delete a query it returns me to the top of the page, which is really annoying, as I'm trying to delete queries in the middle of a long list. Just a usability point.

Thanks,
Kat
