Hi,

is there a way to give artifacts and/or requirements a unique number generated by the system?

That's important for use when referencing Requirements outside RRC or generating a PDF or Word document.

Yes, I can see them in various places but where I really need to see them is within the rich text editors as part of the document and on reports and views. So far I can see I cannot use them there.

And it would be great to have some influence on the IDs (Offset, prefix/postfix, numbering schema, ....)

We already provide a unique id for all artifacts. You can see it in various places (such as the project explorer view) as the number in parenthesis after the artifact's name.
