Cross Tabs - BIRT Reports

Bharath M (5465428) | asked Feb 03 '10, 1:28 a.m.
Hi ,

How to display empty columns/rows in the cross tabs. Though I see an option for this in BIRT, it is greyed out. I can't select it.

We need this to maintain consistency across all the reports.

Thanks,
Bharath

Hi Bharath,

We've only created one report that uses cross tabs, so I'm not familiar
with how to do what you're asking. I would suggest that you might ask on
the Eclipse BIRT newsgroup - the BIRT developers are very responsive to
questions.

The option depends on the way you create the cross tab. If there are 2 dimensions (sort of an hierarchy) in rows (or columns) then you can show empty rows (or columns) for the child dimension.

For example, look for 'Crosstab Measure Filtering Output' in http://www.eclipse.org/birt/phoenix/project/notable2.3.php
