RRC 2.0 on Linux

Hi,

Today I am deploying RRC 2.0 on RHEL 5.3 with DB2 9.5

1. Got Server Part1&2
2. Installed them using Firefox, no problem occurred
3. I started the server from /opt/IBM/RRCS20/server/, but when I was trying to connect to https://servername:9443/rdm/setup
, it just can not, nothing come back, so I wanted to shutdown the server and try again, but when run server.shutdown, it pops

Using CATALINA_BASE: /opt/IBM/RRCS20/server/tomcat
Using CATALINA_HOME: /opt/IBM/RRCS20/server/tomcat
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /opt/IBM/RRCS20/server/tomcat/temp
Using JRE_HOME: /opt/IBM/RRCS20/server/jre

Hi Gangduan,

Are you starting the RRC 2.0 server through a terminal or are you starting it inside the RHEL GUI environment? If you are starting through a terminal without a GUI environment there is technote on how to do this: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21410023 .
Would you happen to have the output of the console after you started the server?

Yes, thanks, the method from the article works, but are there any permanent way to correct this? when the server is down for some reason, I have to run those commands manually.
