Does RTC support to export comments field? Yes, the CSV export allows to export the comment field. In the Export Wizard for a query, press to get to the Attributes page and select 'Comments'. -- Regards, Patrick Jazz Work Item Team |
Can we expect the "comment" filed by RTC Web UI. I cannot see the Column about "Comment" or "Discussion" under "Work Item Query"/"Result Layout"/"Add Column" where edit a query. Or how to open the Export Wizard for a query, for RTC Web UI Please advise Thanks.

I have several teams asking to be able to include comments from the tasks on a report.
I have tried to follow the instructions above and as the previous poster, I cannot see where or how to do this. This would be a very good capability for RTC in one form or another. PLEASE consider implementing this, or let me know how I can use what has already been implemented. |

Hi Tracy,
after our discussion yesterday, I had something lingering in my mind. You can export comments (not discussions though) using the Eclipse client (it does not work in the Web UI and you can not yet display comments or discussions as columns in queries). Use File>Export Select Team>Work Items and click next Select a query and click next Select Add Columns search for comments and add other columns and click finish. |
