Eclipse 'Create Process Template'

Hi,

We have project in RTC that we use to develop our process template customizations. The development of this has reached a point where I want to promote the template back to the server for deployment onto new projects.

When I select the "Team Organization" view in Eclipse I can right click the development project and choose "Create Process Template". I give it a name and a Process ID. This saves the process template back to the server and its available when I create a new project.

However ALL timelines ever used in the development process template are applied to the project I created with the saved template?

When I look at the "process configuration source" in the dev project I cannot see these timeslines anywhere?

Where are these additional old timelines coming from?

As a workaround we can manually delete them in the new project but would like to understand where they come from?

Hello,

Yes, the "Extract Process Template..." action will make a process template that includes all timelines from your project area. You can edit the resulting template to remove the timelines before you use it to make new projects. To do so, open the process template in the process template editor and either delete the timeline in the "Timelines" section of the Overview tab or edit the source in the Timelines Source tab.

When a project area is created from a template, the timelines are created as objects within the Jazz repository. They are not persisted as part of the configuration, which is why you do not see them in the Process Configuration Source.
