Is performaning a Flashback in Oracle to revert an EWM database safe to do

Richard Michelson (211815) | asked Jul 26, 11:16 a.m.

Ran into a problem with a EWM source code control with doing a rollback operation. Messed things up. Is it safe to do an Oracle flashback about 12 hours to before the operation was made. Understand that we will lose everything in EWM since that time. Does IBM saction doing a flashback? Are there gotchas with doing this?

Thank you

I am not an Oracle admin. In general backup is documented here: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/SSYMRC_7.0.3/com.ibm.jazz.install.doc/topics/roadmap_backup.html

I find it an extreme measure to restore from a backup, because you did something to the SCM data. Don't you have baselines from before your changes?
