Does Incremental Backup Supported for CLM

Venkatesh Bhat (29445) | asked Jun 25, 2:20 a.m.

Currently, we are in the process of performing a complete backup of the CLM data. Due to the substantial size of the data, the backup process is taking longer than usual, resulting in an increased server downtime. Consequently, this situation is negatively affecting our business operations. Is there a possibility to implement incremental backups instead of full backups?

Incremental backups still require a full backup for the initial baseline.

As far as I am aware ELM does not care how the database is backed up and restored, provided the backup/restore is correct e.g. transaction safe etc..

It is however important to understand that the databases are not the only thing you want to backup. Please see https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/BackupCLM for a general discussion on what needs to be considered for a backup.

In the documentation look up and perform the Interactive backup and restore guide e.g. https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/engineering-lifecycle-management-suite/lifecycle-management/7.0.3?topic=servers-interactive-installation-upgrade-setup-guides .
