RTC with CruiseControl

Srinath TV (36105) | asked Dec 17 '09, 1:41 a.m.

Hi,

I used to use CruiseControl with Visual Source Safe (VSS) and it worked great. Recently I started using RTC and want to re-use CruiseControl with the same too.
After extensively searching on Internet, I could not find even a single example of how that can be done.. Please help.
I saw an example using Hudson, but none for CruiseControl with RTC. I guess, I need to change settings under <sourcecontrol> tag of config file, but what exact changes are to be done, I have no clue .. If I am lost, please show me right direction and guide as in how can that be done.
Will appreciate any help with code snippet too.

Thanks a lot.
Regards,
Geny

Just a comment, we used to use CruiseControl with ClearCase. Now that we're using RTC and the internal build process, I find this far superior to CruiseControl in terms of usage, monitoring, integration, configuring, and whatever else I can think of. And, unlike CruiseControl, nothing needs to be added to our ANT build files to make it work. I have found nothing that CruiseControl does better than the RTC build process, and that is probably why information on how to integrate it with RTC can't be found. Here's a helpful hint that may save you some research time: when searching for the word "build" on the JAZZ forums, add a wildcard at the end, like this: build*. Just something quirky that nobody seems to know why the forums behave this way. I've found other keywords that also require a wild card at the end for some unknown reason.
