DOORS Deployment - Include ETM or not

When installing DOORS on a production server for a DOORS licensed deployment the following applications would typically be included

Global Configuration Management
IBM Engineering Requirements Management -  DOORS Next
IBM Engineering Workflow Management
Jazz Reporting Service (LQE, DCC and Report Builder)
Jazz Team Server
Link Index Provider
Trial Keys for IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management products

EWM would be included to provide change management since DOORS licenses sales include EWM change management licenses

Should ETM be installed or not?

On the one hand it might use resources on the server and be a maintenance overhead.

On the other hand it is part of the core ELM suite and having it installed means it is ready to go if the organisation acquires ETM licenses in the future

Creating an enterprise project in ELM also creates an ETM component by default so not having ETM installed may impact the operation of this feature.

What are people's opinions on whether to include ETM in a DOORS deployment?

Hey Sean,

I always just do a default install of everything if the host's RAM permits, and if not, I adjust the server.xml file to start only the apps that are going to be used right now.

From memory, the sample projects detect if a component isn't active but you can always uncheck the creation box
