I am using a Formal template and have:
  • Defect
    • Task
    • Task
The two tasks have 8 hours and 3 hours. The first task has 2 hours spent. The plan shows the estimate and progress for the Tasks, but it is not rolled up to the Defect. Am I missing something? It's been awhile since I played with this planning feature...

Oddly enough, Progress does not show every after updating the Time Tracking piece.

You can "resolve this". The "parent" work items were set as Plan items and not Execution items.
