Renaming projects

Bruno Braga (48013621) | asked Dec 09 '09, 11:09 a.m.
In RRC there isn't a action/option to rename projects.
But it's available from Jazz Server.

Is there a problem if I use jazz admin to rename a RRC project?
If I do that all references will be updated?

Thanks

Yes it works OK for me, but I find I need to restart the RRC rich client after renaming a project -- otherwise it shows some errors for a while. The simplest thing would be to close the RRC rich client before renaming projects, then start it afterwards.

That is correct. There is information cached in the client that is unaware that the project has been renamed on the server, so do follow Daniel's advice.
Note that you might also be able to simply select the repository connection in the explorer view and select Refresh from the context menu to flush and repopulate any cached information.
