Custom OSLC Adapter with projects registered as lifecycle ones

Dmitry A. Lesin (24826996) | asked Jun 13 '22, 11:32 a.m.

Hello guys,

Is it possible somehow develop custom OSLC adapter with service providers pointing to projects or products data which can be added as participants into Jazz Lifecycle projects?
Let me please explaing the idea on a simple sample. For example, we use Jazz QM application for testing, and Redmine for defect-tracking. And we want to implement an OSLC adapter that could detect Redmine projects which can be added into Jazz Lifecycle projects like CCM project areas. In this way, we would like to use Redmine for bug tracking instead of Jazz CCM. And we would like to be able to link QM test results to Redmine defects.
Is it possible somehow? Can you please give a general roadmap how better go it? Or it's impossible at all?
Thank you!

Yes, this is likely possible. The way to do it is to create an OSLC Change Management adapter on Redmine that could then participate as a Change Management server with ETM and other jazz.net applications. See https://oslc.github.io/developing-oslc-applications/iotp_adaptor/developer-guide for information on how to do that.
