RTC database monitoring

Ivan Bogovic (9311411) | asked Nov 26 '09, 4:29 a.m.
Web app server: WAS 6.1.0.27
version: RTCz 2.0.0.1
Server: z/OS 1.10

We have request from stakeholders to monitor RTC database.
For which objects in RTC namespace can we accept to grow rapidly and large,
is there any objects that, in your opinion, need special attention.

Links to articles or any suggestion is appreciate.

Thanks,
Ivan

Hi Ivan

I find the server reports on the server (you can get to these via the WebUI - Reports->Shared Reports->Repository->Metrics and some of the other reports in the Repository section) very useful. These will tell you what elements are growing. I don't have a list of numbers that might be cause for concern - perhaps if you look at other servers (like here on jazz.net - the RTC project for example) - you might be able to get a feel for what is "normal".
