ETM CLA Adapter Source Code

Matthias Buettgen (23612231) | asked Apr 16 '21, 5:13 a.m.

Hi,

Until 6.0.6.1 the Command Line Adapter ZIP File contains also the adapter's source code. I've recently verified 7.0.1 and 7.0.2 and recognized that the source is no longer available.

I assume that some customers might be interested in building their own adapter and thus, they could benefit from  the source code.

Is there a reason, why the source code has been excluded? Is it possible to use the 6.0.6.1 adapter source to create a custom adapter fro 7.0.x and on-wards?

Regards
Matthias

Hi,
Yes the Source Code was removed from Command Line Adapter (CLA) Package starting from ETM 7.0 and later.
The source code was proprietary IP and since it was included in Package containing the CLA binaries, so some of the customers were not able to consume CLA executable package as it was offered.

However, there are current plans to make private Adapter API as Public SDK to help external ETM Integrator building their own adapter.

You may refer to following space to know when it is made available in future releases -
