Create a listbox field in Work Item that references other ?

There is a 'Work Item list' custom attribute type that you can use to add such an attribute to the work item (see also https://jazz.net/library/article/129). This will give you a list control similar to the one for subscribers.

Many thanks, Yes you are right. With the work item / work item list
custom attributes I can create these references.

The problem I have is that this reference is generic for all work item
types, i.e, you can not restrict the reference to just one specific work
item type so the user sees all work items (defects, tasks, ERs...) and
they only want to see the list of specific work items to select one of them.

In the wizard that is showed when the user wants to associate a work
item he could select to show just work items of one type, but the user
would like to have this filter from the beginning.

In ClearQuest, when you defined a reference list attribute, one of the
parameters you could customize was the type of work item to be
referenced. Do you know if there are plans to add this new parameter to
this custom attribute (or a reference to a filter to show automatically
work items that satisfy this query)?

I have just created a new enhancement request to restrict the type of
work items that could be associated when creating a custom attribute of
type "work item" or "work item list".
