cq connector and ClearQuest 2003

Pravesh Patel (37622615) | asked Jan 16 '08, 10:57 a.m.
I see that the cq connector supports CQ 7.0.1, however has anyone tried this with CQ 2003? If so, what was the outcome?

I'm just wondering if there is any chance this might work. Our engineering support has been unable to upgrade to CQ 7.0.1.

Thanks!

Were you able to identify a solution to this problem?  I am having the same issue going from CQ 2003.0616 to RTC 4.03

Hi David,

The RTC 4.0.3 version of the ClearQuest Synchronizer is only supported with CQ 7.1.2 and later.  I'm afraid there isn't a good workaround to get the Synchronizer working with CQ 2003.0616.

One thing you may consider is exporting your ClearQuest records as CSV data (if CQ 2003.0616 has this option) and importing them to RTC.  This would not keep the CQ and RTC data in sync, but could be used as a way to migrate data from CQ to RTC.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi George,

The CQ CM API, which the Synchronizer uses to communicate with CQ, needs to be a compatible version.
