 We've recently run into a perculiar problem with RQM where editing test scripts with too many steps can cause us to lose data from the test script. Is there some kind of configurable maxiumum that I need to increase or is this a symptom of something further?

There is no configuration related to number of script steps that are visible in RQM.

May be you could share some more details on the number of steps you have in the script, the activity you are performing, use-case etc.. to help you better.? Thanks

Maximum number of test steps per test script is not configurable in ETM. 

Please file a defect or contact support for assistance.
