[RQM] alternative way to Poster extension
Hi folks,
As the Poster extension is no longer compatible with the newest Firefox versions, is there any other official recommendation to use, instead of Poster?
We need to import models into RQM and we were used to use the Poster extension, following this documentation: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RQMUsingPoster

FORUM ADMINISTRATOR / FORUM MODERATOR / JAZZ DEVELOPER I think you should be able to use any REST client. The only issue I had when transitioning from a browser extension is the login. I use POSTMAN today, but in reality any http client should do. The login that works for me with RTC is explained here: https://rsjazz.wordpress.com/2019/05/13/using-a-rest-client-to-authenticate-to-elm-clm-applications/ Leonardo Benevides selected this answer as the correct answer

Hi Ralph, thanks!
I think that RQM should be able to import its models without the need to use a third-party client, such as Poster and others, don't you agree? Do you think it would be possible to (me) request an improvement in this regard?
Anyone is welcome to create enhancement requests.
I am not an expert in RQM, and i am not sure what you are trying to do here. Anyway, if you use the Poster, you are basically using an API. When there is an API to do it, I would expect there is a regular way to do it as well. So maybe describing what you intend to do here in a new question could lead to answer the real question, if there is another way of doing what you want, that does not require the API or a built in tool.

As Ralph suggested, you can use any REST client to replace poster. I used Poster before but now I use RESTed client for Firefox addon(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/rested-aps/) for RQM and RTC. The UI layout is a bit different from Poster but basically it works at the similar way.
RQM has its own small utility RQMURLUtility which may serve the same purpose as what Poster can do:
I am not sure what you mean by "import models" using RQM. If it is something achievable by Poster, I think other Rest Client or RQMURLUtility can do the same.
