How to cutomise a report in BIRT?

My requirement is to make a report for user scheduled absence.CCM provide the feature to enter scheduled absence for a user. Here, my requirement is to a make a report in BIRT and integrate it with CCM which can give the detail about the absences of the entire team member for a selected period.

You can customise reports with BIRT. I have found an article which helps you to build custom Reports.
