Set Planned start and end date for a RTC plan to a date from past.

Hi,

Is there a provision in RTC Formal Project Planning Template to set a past date as Planned Start and Planned End date using Snapshot.
I want this option if there is project Imported from MPP which has been half completed and once imported in RTC the previous dates should reflect in Plan. Currently, once it is imported the dates start from present date when a planned snapshot is taken.

Thanks.

I am pretty certain that you can not do that.

I've just hit the same problem.

People want to be able to put in start and end dates that reflect when the task was actually started and completed, and sometimes this will be done at the end of the week or maybe even later.

Right now the plans reflect the date the state changes and so everything ends up with the wrong dates, making any planning next to impossible.

It seems a pretty basic requirement to be able to go in and enter or adjust the actual start and end dates after actual day they occurred :-(

Hi, it seems to still be an issue…

I have to create a plan for a (formal process) project that has already started and want to create tasks in the past to reflect what has already happened. It is impossible because everything is based on actual operations like creating a Planned Snapshot, taken into account at the real time it is performed.

Do you know any workaround?
