customized work flow is not getting displayed in status for customized Workitem

    I have created a new work item type and needed a different work flow for the same. I duplicated the task work flow and changed the id and renamed the states as per the customer requirements. Instead of newly created workflow, its showing workflow's id in status of the workitem.

can you please tell me where if i have missed some steps.

It seems like there is some issue while creating a duplicate workflow.
I would suggest you to do these steps again.
  • Create a workitem type from "Types and attributes page"
  • On Workflows page create duplicate of existing workflow.
  • now go back to type and attributes and assign new workflow to that work item.
  • save and test it in browser should work fine..

For existing work items, often doing an "innocuous" change ( e.g. add/remove subscriber) will re-bind the work flow to the work item(s).
