Upgradation and Migration of CLM 3.0.1 to CLM 6.0.6
Hello All, We are currently using Jazz CLM 3.0.1 and want to upgrade to the latest available CLM version of 6.0.6. What would be the best strategy to implement this upgrade & migration of all existing data to new version? I came to know that data can be migrated between CLM versions using repotools. I'm doing a test deployment first, is it a good strategy to Install the latest CLM 6.0.6 with Websphere application server, and only migrate the data using repotools? Please help on this upgrade & migration from very old version of CLM to latest one.
Thank you in advance for your help. |

Basically you have to upgrade to 4.x then to 5.x and then to 6.0.6. There are special upgrade routines you have to run in each step. when going to 4.x you at least want to apply the last fixes to the 3.0.1. It would be best to upgrade to the latest 3.x version.

You would benefit from the help from an experienced services person could provide -- at least in planning this series of upgrades, and perhaps when doing them as well. |
