Is it possible to configure email based on a workflow?

Hi,

I am using RTC 6.0.3.

I have workflows in RTC that have multiple approval/review states. I would like to configure an email notification so that once a work item moves from approval to review (and from review to secondary review etc.), an email is sent to team members to notify them that the next step in the workflow has begun. Is this possible?

There is noting out of the box.

Custom solutions are possible with service using the API's.
