Need to understand if LQE is necessary for JRS
Hi All,
We have upgraded CLM 5.0.2 to CLM 6.0.5. In CLM 5.0.2 we are using Data Warehouse and Rational Insight for Reporting. After upgrading to CLM we will be using JRS, because of which we will have to install DCC and LQE.
Is it necessary to install LQE because we are not using Global Configuration and RELM?
If we install LQE and but keep using Data Warehouse as data source for reporting will it grow in size in terms of memory?
If we plan to use LQE actively, what would be memory recommendation for LQE databse? Do we need to create it in the drive where large memory space is available?
Thanks
Kiran

Hello Kiran,
LQE is only required if you want to report on project with global configuration enable.
This decision tree might help you further (it's a bit dated but still quite valid):

LQE is also very resource intensive so you need to plan the machine to host it (preferably dedicated) adequately.
Here an article on the sizing for LQE:

Hello Francesco,
Hello Kiran,
the size of LQE depends on what it's indexing.
You can check on https://server:port/lqe/web/admin/data-sources and make sure all the data sources are paused or removed.
